You Won’t Be Able To Resist – “Walnut Caramel Brownies”!!!

You won’t be able to resist this chocolate brownie recipe. Chocolate Walnut Caramel Brownies are a perfect brownie treat with caramel and walnuts. You’ll love using this recipe for family treats or casual entertaining.


½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar

2 ¼ sticks unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

2 tbsp vanilla sugar

2 cups walnuts

4 eggs, beaten

2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Pinch of salt



Preheat the oven to 350F. Put the brown sugar into a wide saucepan over medium heat and heat until caramelized. Add ½ cup cold water and dissolve the caramelized sugar. Add the butter and heat until melted, then remove the pan from the heat. Add the granulated sugar and vanilla sugar and mix. Coarsely chop three quarters of the walnuts and set aside.

Gradually stir in the eggs, the add the cocoa powder. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt into the mixture. Add the chopped walnuts and mix.

Spread the mixture over the bottom of a nonstick baking pan and smooth the surface. Add the remaining walnuts. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Invert out of the pan and cut into 1 ½ inch squares. Serve warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if liked.

TIP: Brownies also taste good with a variety of other nuts, such as macadamia nuts, pecans, or Brazil nuts.
