Piece Of Heaven – RED “VELVET CAKE”!!!

I want that red velvet i want that sugar sweet

This red velvet cake is not just an ordinary cake, this is a piece of heaven. With every bite you will be more and more addicted to this cake. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

For the crust:

350 g flour

250 g sugar

2 eggs

250 ml buttermilk

1 tsp baking powder

1tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cider vinegar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsp cocoa

110 g butter (soften on a room temperature)

2 tsp liquid food coloring

Cream:

500 g Philadelphia cheese

200 g powdered sugar

50 g butter (soften on a room temperature)

1 tsp vanilla extract

a pinch of salt

Preparation:

Step 1: Pre-heat the oven on 1800 C (350 F) and prepare one or two small pans for baking. In one bowl add the flour, baking powder and salt. In another small bowl mix the cocoa and the food coloring so you get a paste without lumps.

Step 2: In another bowl mix the butter and the sugar until you get a creamy texture.

Step 3: To this add one by one eggs and then the paste of cocoa and food coloring. Then add 1/3 of the flour and 1/3 of the buttermilk. Mix slowly and add the rest of the flour and the buttermilk. Mix until they all blend.

Step 4: Separately mix the baking soda and the cider vinegar and add to the mixture and mix it well.

Step 5: Add the mixture in a pan and bake it for about 25-30 minutes. You can use two round pans whit dimensions of 23×4 cm or square 30x20x5cm. Add half of the mixture in one pan an another half in the other. With this mixture you can make cupcakes and you can make 24 cupcakes.

Step 6: For the cream: Mix the butter and the cheese and add salt vanilla extract and sugar. When the crust is cold apply the cream. The left over cream use it for decoration, also you can add a little coconut for decoration.
